Last Weekend in September -

Personally I am glad to see the back of September! It has been an overly busy month, my own fault, stressful and in some respects unfulfilling. However, there have been some great happenings too.

My first official booking (that means 'paid') was a great success. See review from Manager, Lucie:

"Hi Miss B
My goodness you were a sensation! Everyone I've spoken to about the walk on Wednesday started to smile immediately They all thoroughly enjoyed it, would do it again tomorrow (come rain or shine) and were very impressed by you, your enthusiasm and your limitless knowledge on the subject!
Thank you for making it such a roaring success - I'm so sad that I wasn't able to take part this time, but that just gives me an excuse to hire you again for another go!"
Also made a discovery, which others may already know, but The London Stone is actually lit at night, you can see it far better in the dark than during daylight.
The London Stone
As some of you are aware I have quite an obsession with Sydney R Jones. The gentleman who has organised the 'Thames Triumphant' exhibition in Richmond, commencing 1st October has invited me to the Private View, invitation received today. Details can be found in 'Over the Wall' page.

There is also a possibility that I may be invited to join in a series of walks next year along the Thames Path to talk about the pictures in the spots where they were originally sketched and painted by SRJ. All very exciting and has come out of the blue.  Will also have the pleasure of meeting the owner of his works, a tricky situation that, as happily been scanning, cutting and pasting out of 'London Triumphant'. Apparently he is easy going about this as long as not sold for profit. Phew!
